What does it take to become a TCM therapist?
A lifetimeš What it takes to get a diploma in TCM depends on where you studyā¦ š©š»āš
My Alma Mater was the best TCM Institute in Czech and Slovak republic covering the full study of 5 skills: Phytotherapy, Acupuncture, Chinese dietetics, Tuina massages and Qigong. It took more than 4 years of studying and endless hours of practice.
During this journey, I saw a lot of people leaving the TCM adventure and starting to practice what they learned so far... It may seem incomplete, but the truth is, to study Traditional Chinese medicine means to study āin a spiralā. š
After the first two years we basically know all the acupuncture points and all the herbs but only then we start building layers and layers of new connections, combinations, use cases, exceptions, etc. Those who stay until the end are rewarded by a diploma as symbolic āend of studiesā but all of us know that was just the beginning of this lifelong journey. āÆļø
