Menstrual pain and cold

Combatting menstrual pain? Avoid cold!šŸ’ƒšŸ»

One of the most common causes and/or negative factors that aggravate menstrual pain is cold and by that we mean cold inside and outside the body. ā„ļøšŸŒŠ

According to TCM, your period should be smooth and cause just a slight discomfort. Seriously, there is no ā€œneedā€ for menstrual pain!ā˜ÆļøšŸ¤”

So, how can you avoid or at least reduce cramps during your period? The simplest and most effective approach is to prioritize warm foods and overall warmth. šŸ”„

I know, PMS cravings can often seem unbeatable but if you avoid ice creams, yogurts, and other cold food before and during your period, your body will appreciate it.šŸ«–

Additionally, try to avoid going barefoot, leaving your ankles exposed, or having an uncovered belly or lower back. And above all, avoid bathing in cold water (surfing includedšŸ˜¢šŸ„šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø) at least the first 2 days of your period. āš ļø According to TCM, during menstruation it is especially easy for the cold to get inside of the uterus and cause pain.ā„ļøšŸ˜–ā„ļø

Menstrual pain can come from various causes, each requiring specific treatment. However, by focusing on warmth and minimizing the influence of cold, you can take a significant step towards your menstrual comfort and overall health.
