How to behave in winter? ❄️ Embrace healthy dos and don'ts recommended by TCM.☯️
Winter is the time of stillness and conservation, so respecting the natural slowing down of everything around us is obviously crucial. Only if we embrace that in our daily routines, we will save our precious yang energy for spring.
During winter, we are definitely allowed to become a bit more passive, given that our bodies will benefit way more from reading a good book or engaging in any introspective activity (such as meditation, yoga, journaling, painting, etc.) than from vigorous sport activities. 🧘🏻♀️📚📖🎨
If there is one thing we should strictly avoid during winter, it is excessive sweating. 😰 Whether it comes from outdoor running or intense gym workouts, TCM warns that we will pay for this behaviour later in spring and experience the well-known spring tiredness. 😩🌿 So if you can 🙏 try to reduce your high intensity trainings and rather enjoy a calm walk.
